If you want to experience Facebook in a more simplified way without Meta AI integration, you can use the basic version of the platform at mbasic.facebook.com. While it may not have an attractive layout, it allows you to use Facebook without encountering the AI features.

Search Functionality with Meta AI

Interestingly, despite the presence of Meta AI, you can still search for content on Facebook much like before. When you tap the animated ring where the search icon used to be, a search bar appears that prompts you to “Ask Meta AI anything.” You can still search for friends’ profiles or posts as you did previously, ensuring that the user experience isn’t entirely disrupted.

Benefits of Using Meta AI

Although some may find it confusing, Meta AI offers several practical features. For instance, you can use it through Messenger or WhatsApp to generate content or obtain suggestions for planning events. Furthermore, whenever friends share experiences online, such as watching cherry blossoms in spring, the AI may provide helpful prompts related to that topic.

While responses to Meta AI may vary among users, it appears that this feature is a permanent fixture in Facebook and Instagram.
