"We’re a small but mighty company… AI has been really helpful for us to help scale where we don’t necessarily have the same financial resources," Gropper stated.

The automation has allowed their small finance team to save approximately two days each week typically spent on accounts payable tasks.
"It’s been able to streamline their productivity and give them some time back to do other tasks," Gropper added.

In addition to financial processes, Repurpose also utilizes AI for performance evaluations. The company employs an AI-driven review platform that assists employees in refining their feedback, ultimately leading to more thoughtful and comprehensive reviews.

According to the International Energy Agency, electricity consumption in data centers is predicted to double by 2026 compared to levels in 2022, potentially equating to the energy consumption of an entire country.

"It’s threading the needle between wanting to be as innovative as possible…and being conscious of what impact we are contributing," she said.
