With nearly ten years of expertise in human-centered design, they focus on creating safe and reliable robotic systems. The company has previously developed 15 different robots, including NASA’s Valkyrie Robot, which showcases their experience and commitment to innovation.

Introducing Apollo

The Apollo humanoid robot is the latest in Apptronik’s lineup, designed to undertake physically demanding tasks safely alongside humans in industrial environments. Standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, Apollo balances complexity with functionality for applications in manufacturing and logistics. The robot has been acknowledged with a 2024 RBR50 Robotics Innovation Award for its custom linear actuators, highlighting its advanced engineering.

Industry Applications and Collaborations

Apptronik’s Apollo robot is not the only humanoid in development; other notable competitors include Hillbot, Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and Sanctuary AI. However, few have progressed to commercial testing.

Apptronik envisions eventually extending Apollo’s capabilities into healthcare and domestic environments.
