Enhance Your Shopping Experience with Microsoft Copilot!

Microsoft recently introduced several enhancements to its Copilot software, making it more user-friendly and efficient. These updates, which were part of the March 19, 2025, release, include AI capabilities, improved conversation tools, and expanded functionalities aimed at enriching the user experience. Below is a detailed look at the latest features.

Product Price Tracking for U.S. Shoppers

One major addition is the product price tracking feature designed for U.S. users. This new tool eliminates the need for external extensions traditionally used to find the best deals. Users can ask Copilot about specific items, start monitoring their prices, and receive notifications whenever there’s a price drop or an enticing new deal.

Enhanced Copilot Vision for Android and Edge

A significant highlight of this update is the launch of Copilot Vision for Android users, albeit restricted to Pro subscribers in the U.S. This feature enables users to utilize their device cameras to get real-time assistance simply by showing Copilot what they see. Similar to Google Lens, it remains to be seen how widely this feature will be accepted among users.

Moreover, Copilot Vision is now accessible to all free users of Microsoft Edge in the U.S. This means users can have URLs scanned, analyzed, and gain insights from webpage content. According to Microsoft, this will enhance web browsing efficiency and deliver instant recommendations tailored to users’ needs.

Improved Reasoning with OpenAI’s o3-mini

The reasoning capabilities of Copilot have been upgraded through the integration of OpenAI’s o3-mini model. As a result, users can expect quicker responses to complex questions and enhanced abilities to handle in-depth reasoning tasks. This upgraded model is currently available to all users who are signed into Copilot.

Incorporation of Visuals in Responses

Another update includes improved responses featuring images or videos when relevant. Users can now see visuals while searching for dining options or for the latest sports updates, such as basketball and soccer. Currently, this feature is available only on the desktop version of Copilot, with plans for mobile functionality anticipated soon.

Integration with GroupMe and Viber

Copilot on GroupMe and Viber

Microsoft has now integrated Copilot functionality into messaging platforms GroupMe and Viber. In GroupMe, users can activate Copilot by long-pressing a message and initiate a conversation. Viber users can now also send messages, upload images for analysis, and create images from text descriptions, thus streamlining interaction across these platforms.

Further Improvements: Read Aloud, File Uploads, and Mac Support

  • Read Aloud: Copilot now offers the ability to read longer text responses at a pace of up to 1.5x speed. Users can also opt for different voices when having poems or bedtime stories read aloud.
  • File Upload Support: Users can now upload PowerPoint presentations to Copilot, allowing them to ask questions and receive summaries on their content.
  • Mac Compatibility: Copilot provides enhanced responses related to macOS usage. For instance, users can ask questions like, “How do I take a screenshot?” and receive precise guidance.
